Club Champion's Simultaneous Display
Tim scored 11/15 in this year's simul, losing only one game to new member Lucas Grisoni, who was awarded the McGovern Trophy. Lucas played positively through the game and prevented Tim from castling his king to safety, obliging Tim to give up the exchange. Lucas pressed home his advantage convincingly to win. Maxime Viallet and Ruy D'Orey also had good games against Tim with winning chances, though both games ended in draws. Prize for the craziest tactical game should go to Jason Rihel, with pieces en prise left, right and centre. The game ended in an amicable draw by perpetual check.
